Don't do these things while in flight

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a condition in which the blood gets clotted inside the deep veins of the body more so in the veins of the legs.
While on board a flight the chances of blood to get stagnated and thus form clott are more.
Few simple precautions may reduce the chances of DVT for eaxmple,
  • Avoid excess alcohol and caffeine containing drinks,
  • Remain mobile and avoid awkward sitting and lying postures,
  • Leg excerices.
Those who have high risk of DVT or history of DVT in past should consult their doctors and in addition to above may be given caliberated (graduated) compresion stockings to be used in flight.
